This risk register tool can be used for assessing and recording potential risks faced by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) against the Standards for RTOs 2025.

Undertaking risk assessment activities and developing strategies to mitigate or minimise those risks is an essential business process for every Registered Training Organisation (RTO). One such risk is that of being non-compliant with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and the impact that this has on the organisation.

Use this tool to record the outcome of an assessment of your RTO’s risk against each of the clauses of the Standards for RTOs 2025. The tool allows for the recording of an initial assessment, including a summary of the reasons for the assignment of the particular risk rating. The user selects the Likelihood (unlikely, possible or probable) and then the Impact (minor, moderate or major) and the spreadsheet automatically selects the risk rating based on this input. Cells are locked to ensure this works correctly.
