V2G03 - Establishing Effective Trainer and Assessor Practice

The revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations were publicly released on 1 October 2024 and will come into full regulatory effect from 1 July 2025.

The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 will continue to apply until then.

This module of learning is based on, and refers to, the current regulatory environment.


Perfect as an induction for Trainers and Assessors or as a refresher for seasoned professionals, this 90 min module will help Trainers and Assessors establish and confirm effective practice, both in and out of the training room.


Gaining and maintaining a compliance and procedural awareness, and understanding the important role they play in the RTO’s activities, is critical to informing a Trainer and Assessor's practices!

This Velg2Go module of learning looks at some of the essentials, with an aim to increase understanding of the holistic requirements of a trainer and assessor working for an RTO. It focusses on understanding TAE, meeting RTO Requirements and the Role of a Trainer and Assessor.

The aim of this course is to increase the perspective that trainers and assessors have of their role and to increase awareness of the purpose behind the tasks that they perform. It encourages application of a proactive approach to the common expectations of the RTO(s) they work with.
