Feedback in 2023 identified that trainers, assessors and resource/curriculum developers were looking for future PD topics that relate to assessment that occurs outside of a 'classroom' or 'online' setting.

We know that many of you conduct on-the-job assessment - so we've developed this session just for you!


Overview

Forget roleplays and simulations. In this session, we’re taking a journey into the workplace to explore the tactics used by assessors who gather evidence of real workplace performance on the job, along with the challenges they face and how to overcome them.

To bring you this session, our presenter Paul Pellier went on-site with different leading RTOs to shadow and interview experienced workplace assessors conducting authentic on-the-job assessment.

Paul gained invaluable insights into the challenges they face, the innovative strategies they employ to navigate these hurdles, and the best practices they adhere to for achieving great workplace assessment outcomes and shares that with you in this session.

Paul Pellier

CEO/RTO Owner

Paul is an energetic and engaging public speaker and a highly experienced VET professional having held roles such as Quality Manager for a large national RTO. He is passionate about high quality, modern, flexible education and loves to share ideas and connect with others to build a first class Australian VET sector.

Paul is the founder and Managing Director of Accellier Education, an RTO with over a decade of service to and success in Australia's VET sector including the delivery of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  Accellier education provides a variety of services to a range of industries, government and defence sectors. 

Paul is a self-confessed nerd with a software and digital media background. He loves crafting streamlined, highly automated business systems using tech, freeing his RTO team to do what they do best; serve clients with a delightful course experience.
