Session Overview

Many RTOs go through the assessment review process (finding that things are all on track) only to be told by an external auditor that they are non-compliant.

During this two-part webinar series, Angela McGregor will explore with you exactly what it is you need to be looking for when reviewing your assessments to ensure they are compliant.

She will highlight the assessment practices that are no longer acceptable and provide you with the skills to undertake quality assessment reviews that will accurately identify necessary improvements.

View your assessments through the eyes of an auditor to reduce the likelihood of conducting assessments using non-compliant tools and practices.

Whether you develop your own assessment tools and instruments, purchasing them off the shelf, or use AI to generate them, you will benefit from this series.

(This series is made up of 2 x 90-minute webinars that cannot be purchased separately)

During this session Angela will answer some of the commonly asked questions about assessment, explain some of the common non-compliances found. It will focus on demonstrating what to look for when conducting a valid review of your assessment material.

Key topics covered:

  • Review process and purpose and requirements for  developers
  • Minimum requirements for instructions (to the student and assessor) + information not included
  • Practical activities covering:
    • Questions – including rules and limitations of some question types
    • Projects
    • Effective mapping

In session 2 of this series Angela will continue to look at practical examples of assessments and common non-compliances found.  She will focus on the review process as it relates to the requirements for specific different assessment methods.
