Students Can Share With the USI VET Transcript

Students Can Share With the USI VET Transcript image

Since 2015, anyone undertaking Nationally Recognised Training has been required to get a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Each USI is unique and allows students to access Vocational Education and Training (VET) student loans and is a requirement to issue their certificate or award.

Importantly, USI account holders can also access an authenticated USI VET transcript containing all VET qualifications undertaken since 2015 in one document. A VET transcript allows students to view and share evidence of skills and qualifications in a trusted and seamless manner – either by downloading a copy of the VET transcript or digitally sharing an extract or full version with a training organisation, employer or licencing body.

A VET transcript helps students showcase their qualifications when applying for jobs or seeking a credit transfer. The information within a VET transcript has been authenticated by the Australian Government, allowing organisations to confidently confirm prior learning and reassuring employers that their prospective employee has the skills and qualifications needed for the job.

Encourage your students to access their USI VET transcript. Visit the USI website to find out more.
