Schedule 2 - Nationally Recognised Training Logo (NRT Logo) Conditions of Use Policy

Schedule 2 - Nationally Recognised Training Logo (NRT Logo) Conditions of Use Policy outline the strict conditions for the use of the NRT logo.

Working Under Direction

The Standards use the term “direction” to describe the arrangement where a person is working under the responsibility of a qualified trainer or assessor. It applies when a person does not yet hold the required credentials to deliver training or make assessment judgements.

Data Provision

Data Provision relates to an RTO's obligation to submit information including AVETMISS data and Quality Indicator data.

Human Resources

Employees are an organisation’s biggest asset. Ways to responsibly and effectively manage human resources are critical for any business – including RTOs.

Continuous Improvement

RTOs should have a system for how they will pinpoint and action opportunities for continuous improvement of their operations.

Assessment Tools

An ‘assessment tool’ means the instrument, instructions and methods used to gather and interpret assessment evidence for the purposes of determining VET student competency

Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA)

Responsible for providing advice to the Australian Government to underpin Australia’s response to current, emerging and future labour market and workforce skills and training needs.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

The aim of RPL is to formally recognise existing competencies without having to go through the complete training process.

Student Enrolment

Certain information is required from students when they enrol and are formally admitted to a course of study.

Regulators

VET regulators are independent bodies working to uphold the quality of VET delivered in Australia. They perform a number of functions including the registration of RTOs and subsequent monitoring of their operations for compliance with relevant standards.

Identifying Support Needs

RTOs must identify each student’s skills, support needs, disability disclosures, and wellbeing requirements to ensure appropriate advice and assistance is provided throughout their training journey.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Students undertaking nationally recognised training must have a USI in order to receive their qualification or Statement of Attainment, and RTOs must meet the requirements of the USI scheme.
