Apprenticeships and Traineeships Data
Latest statistics from the NCVER showed a marginal (0.9%) decrease in the number of apprentices and trainees in training (March 2018 – March 2019), but a 2.2% increase in commencements for the March quarter (2018 to 2019) and a nearly 5% increase in completions for the same timeframe.
Other key highlights from the 2019 – March data were:
- 2.2% of workers were employed as an apprentice or trainee
- 10.0% of employed workers within the trade occupations were an apprentice or trainee
