New Government Department
Last year, the Federal Government announced the consolidation of the Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business (Employment) with the Department of Education. Combined, the new department responsible for Vocational Education and Training (VET) is known as Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
The Ministers responsible for this portfolio are:
- The Hon Dan Tehan MP - Minister for Education
- Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash - Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business
- Senator the Hon Richard Colbeck - Minister for Youth and Sport and Minister for Aged Care and Senior Australians
- The Hon Mark Coulton MP - Minister for Regional Services, Decentralisation and Local Government and Assistant Minister for Trade and Investment
