Latest USI Stakeholder Bulletin Now Available

Stakeholder Bulletin Edition 2020/02 Welcome to the first USI Stakeholder Bulletin for 2020. Firstly, with bushfires affecting many Australians, we want to extend our thoughts and sympathies to all communities, organisations and individuals impacted – please contact us if assistance is required with locating, verifying or creating a USI. Another important article to highlight is the AUSkey decommission date which is approaching fast: after 27 March 2020, RTOs will not be able to access the USI registry system via AUSkey - is your RTO ready? In addition to these topics, the bulletin also includes articles on the new Department of Education, Skills and Employment, mandatory issuing of privacy notices where RTOs apply for USIs on behalf of students, our re-established USI working groups and our USI extended contact centre hours.     Assistance for those affected by bushfires If anyone impacted by the bushfires requires assistance with locating or creating a USI, we can help.       A new department, but it is business as usual for USI While our department has changed, it is business as usual for USI.         No access to the USI Registry System via AUSKey after 27 March 2020 RTOs will not be able to access the USI Registry System using AUSkey after 27 March 2020 - is your RTO ready?         Privacy Notice: RTOs applying for USIs on behalf of students When an RTO applies for a USI on behalf of a student, a privacy notice explaining how their personal information will be used must be provided.       Our re-established USI Working Groups kicked-off in December 2019 The re-established USI Advisory Group and USI External Reference Group met in Melbourne on 10 December 2019.       USI extended contact centre hours Support for students will be increased with the USI Contact Centre extending its opening hours for a three month trial period commencing 17 February 2020.     Read past editions
