Are You in an RPL Rut?
In the past, RPL has often been an overwhelming process for the candidate AND for the assessor. It has often degenerated into a meaningless and exhausting paper chase... so, how can we revive RPL?
Firstly, by establishing a "big picture" view of the process you can avoid being bogged down in too many details too soon. Consequently, the ability to visualise competence and harness the power of the "competency conversation" becomes a lot easier. Through this, you can help the applicant "generate" evidence by ensuring the focus remains on "natural" documents.
These concepts should drive the design and implementation of an effective and efficient, user-friendly RPL process, but they don't stop there!
John Dwyer, the expert of all things RPL, will be diving into these concepts and addressing a total of 12 that will assist you in designing an RPL process that is practical and relevant to your RTO's needs this March.
