A Clustered Approach - Putting It All Together

A Clustered Approach - Putting It All Together image

In response to feedback received, this webinar has been specifically designed to ensure you receive the Professional Development you have asked for!

Clustering assessment is one of our most commonly requested topics and a highly utilised approach used by VET practitioners to represent industry relevant assessment tasks that meet unit standard requirements.

Clustering multiple units of competency for assessment is a great way to reflect the requirements of the workplace via the assessment experience, and to maximise the opportunity for holistic evidence gathering by the assessor.

It also provides opportunities to maximise the efforts and efficiency of both the student and the assessor, reducing duplication and the time taken to complete units.

Whilst a well-developed clustered assessment (or group of assessments) can yield quality evidence of a student’s competence we need to understand the risks associated with this approach and how to effectively manage these to ensure that each unit is fully addressed.

So, let's take a look at just how we do that.

Join assessment expert David Garner on 11th November 2020 for this brand-new webinar designed to outline the benefits and challenges of clustering assessment.  Attendees will gain valuable insights about clustering whilst ensuring that the rigour of assessment is retained and how mapping tools can be used to achieve this.

Topics to be covered during this session include:

  • Key components of clustered assessment
  • The benefits and challenges of clustering
  • What are the risks of clustering?
  • How to ensure the rigour of assessment is retained
  • The important role of mapping tools
