Assessment quality is certainly a hot-button compliance topic. Strategic reviews conducted by the National VET Regulator have raised questions about the appropriateness and sufficiency of assessment practices within the sector. Therefore, it is important for an RTO to understand how its systems and processes compare to the relevant requirements of the training products it has on scope, the expectations of industry and the guidelines from the regulator. This will not only help to build confidence in the quality of assessment but will ensure consistency of performance. Whether assessment is being managed in a small or large organisation, good leadership practices should always underpin the relationships with those involved. This webinar focuses on the mechanisms required to lead effective assessment processes, with groups of assessors within an RTO, as a part of a continuous improvement strategy.
Presented to you by Melanie Alexandra on Wednesday 21 April 2021, 11.00am - 12.00pm (AEST), key topics covered within this webinar include:
Validation is an important responsibility for RTOs. However, it represents some of the highest non-compliances at audit. Engaging with industry stakeholders in the validation process is critical to ensuring assessment is aligned to current methods, technology, products, and performance expectations specified in the relevant training package or VET accredited course. Therefore, leading regular assessment validation is critical in developing strategies that are both industry-focused and aimed at informing improved assessment practices.
