USI - An Education Number With Benefits
A USI is more than just a number. It can unlock a student’s training history, allow them to share their qualifications and help them on their education and work journey.
 | Student PermissionsStudents can give permission for a Registered Training Organisation or VET related body to:

Students control whether or not they give this access, and to whom. When seeking permission from a student to view their USI account and/or USI Transcript, training providers and VET related bodies should follow a few important steps. | |
 | VET transcriptsAn authenticated VET transcript collates national recognised training outcomes in a single record. It can be viewed online, downloaded or managed by students as well as third parties (eg RTOs) who have been given permission by the students and have access to the USI Registry System. Students can also share their VET transcript with third parties such as potential employers and recruiters. |
 | Solution for caching issues with portal accessIf your students are having trouble accessing the student portal, tell them to clear their cache or try another internet browser. Browsers like Chrome save some information from websites in its cache and cookies so clearing them fixes problems like loading sites. |
