This year's 2021 National VET PD Week is inspired by the release of the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) research report (Authored by Francesca Beddie): Begin with the end: RTO practices and views on independent validation of assessment, which revealed the need for "more emphasis on the continuous professional development of trainers, and particularly assessors, as part of quality assurance."
In the fourth of our five NVPDW validation webinars, Melanie Alexandra brings you this informative session designed for those assessment and validation practitioners who really want to make this process more meaningful to themselves and their RTO.
Melanie has a passion for helping VET practitioners inject meaning and purpose into their practices. With assessment and validation consistently remaining high on the list of RTO practices returning 'not compliant' outcomes, this session presents some fundamental ways in which you can turn mandatory practices into ones that quality assure your RTO's approach to validating assessment.
It really is time to embrace the opportunity to turn our routine validation events into ones that serve us, inform us, support continuous improvement and turn the whole experience into one which is more meaningful for all involved.
With 60 minutes of content PLUS an additional 30 minutes 'Let's Talk About ....' component hosted by both Melanie and ASQA' Courtney Smith, this session will cover the following key focus areas:
Join Melanie, as she shares and unpacks some fundamental 'top tips' which represent a more inclusive and 'best practice' approach to conducting assessment validation, that moves you above and beyond compliance requirements. Got a burning question for Melanie and Courtney about making your validation meaningful? Melanie and/or Courtney from the Australian Skills Quality Authority will be ready to respond to your live questions and comments at the event.
