Are You Ready to Speed Your Way Through Some Key Contextualisation Essentials? image

Finding time for professional development activities can sometimes be a real challenge!

Colleen Rivas of Raspberry Training and Consulting will be bringing to us the second of two Speed Training events taking place in September and this one is entirely dedicated to Contextualisation.

This Speed Training event provides the opportunity for you to register for a bundle of 4 x 45-min webinars and gain some real insights from our VET expert about Contextualisation in VET.

Can't attend all 4 webinars live?  Don't worry!

Register for the package of 4, attend those that suit your schedule and you will be sent the recordings for any you missed.  Watch them within 2 weeks of the live event, contact the Velg Training Events Team to advise you have completed them, then you will be issued with a Certificate of Completion

Taking place on Friday 23rd September 2022, check out the session content below:

Overview

Session 1
9:00am - 9:45am

Let's start with Contextualisation Fundamentals
This first session from our Speed Training event will explore the importance and benefits of contextualisation. It will identify the requirements of the Standards for RTOs 2015 and unpack why contextualisation is so important to both learners and employers.

Session 2
10:15am - 11:00am

The 'how to' of contextualising resources
In this session, Coleen will unpack the clarification of the context, the specific steps for contextualisation and explore a variety of strategies and techniques to contextualise resources.

Session 3
11:30am - 12:15pm

Ensuring the quality of contextualised resources
Our third session is designed to highlight the importance of ensuring the integrity of assessment. Participants will look at the key quality requirements to be considered when conducting quality checks of contextualised tools and will review an actual example of a fully contextualised resource.

Session 4
1:15pm - 2:00pm

Determining the contextualisation requirements for an identified cohort
In the final session from our Speed Training event, trainers will develop skills in contextualising learning and assessment. In this interactive session, participants will work together to review resources and identify appropriate strategies for an identified cohort.
