Three Things to Check on Your PI and PL Insurance Certificates Today!

Three Things to Check on Your PI and PL Insurance Certificates Today! image

At EnviroSure we attach our insurance to the training and accreditation you have done for your business. Our certificates list the areas you are trained or accredited to deliver. We also cover consulting and training in those areas – so there is no confusion about what is in and what is out.

Many other insurance companies are not so generous. They sell generic policies with a caveat that YOU must check whether the policy covers you or not.

I speak to many small business people who find out the hard way that their insurance did not cover the work of their business. The agent for the insurer just sold them a policy and told them to check it.

Rummage in the filing cabinet now, find your Certificate of Currency and check these three things:

  1. Is the cover current? Look at the period of cover and check it is within the dates.

  2. Who is insured? Is it just you, you and your employees, everyone in the company, what about subcontractors? Does it cover who you need covered?

  3. What is insured? Does the insurance cover what you do, and what are the exclusions?

If your policy is due and you would like a second opinion, get a quote from EnviroSure today and we will show you what a good policy looks like!
