Mathematics and numeracy are crucial, underpinning life and work skills for learners so, perhaps it’s time to shift our focus to identifying strategies that best support learners enhance their numeracy skills!

These skills impact directly on youth and adults as individuals, workers and citizens.  So, what do we need to know to ensure we can make them count when it comes to quality training and assessment practices?

Dave Tout, Senior Research Fellow, Tertiary and Vocational Assessment Services, at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) has extensive knowledge developed through national and international numeracy research.
