This NVPDW, Let's Check if Our Validation Practices are Really Up to Scratch

The VET sector is a fast-moving platform that is undergoing change.

As practitioners, we need to be proactive participants in that change and consider the importance of our role.

One of the key pillars of excellence and professionalism in VET is the self-assurance process, Validation!  For RTOs, conducting regular, meaningful assessment validation activities is a critical component of self-assurance.  We understand that these can be a real challenge, especially when leading and conducting the activities in an online environment.

Have you ever really thought about what you are getting out of your validation events?
Would you like to get a better understanding of what’s expected?
How are you implementing a mandated event, more meaningful to your RTO, its practices and continuous improvement goals?

The recent research report authored by Francesca Beddie: Begin with the end: RTO practices and views on independent validation of assessment, revealed the need for "more emphasis on the continuous professional development of trainers, and particularly assessors, as part of quality assurance."

As such, our efforts in devising a meaningful program of validation sessions has been inspired by the results of this report.

So, join our validation experts this 2021 National VET PD Week along with representatives from the Australian Skills Quality Authority for 5 targeted sessions dedicated purely to the topic of assessment validation.

Running from 15th to 19th November, each of the daily NVPDW webinars is priced at Members: $55 (inc GST)/Non-members: $85 (inc GST) each.
