Smart and Skilled Application 2023-2024
Training Services NSW in the NSW Department of Education will launch a Smart and Skilled Application in November 2022. The SSPA will provide an opportunity for registered training organisations (RTOs) to apply to become a Smart and Skilled Provider for 2023-24.
The application and assessment process will ensure that Smart and Skilled providers are high quality and delivering the training needed by students and industry.
The application will open on 1 November 2022.
Detailed information about the Smart and Skilled Application has been published here. Included are the eligibility criteria and the application process. A summary of the application questions is also available on the website.
All RTOs who wish to deliver NSW government-funded training in 2023-24 will be required to apply. This includes existing Smart and Skilled providers and all other RTOs seeking to deliver government-subsidised training in NSW. RTOs will need to apply for the Smart and Skilled programs, regions and qualifications they wish to deliver and make a request for student numbers to commence in 2023-24.
Applications will be competitively assessed.
The Smart and Skilled application section of the nsw.gov.au website will continue to be updated with additional information, so RTOs are encouraged to regularly check the page. Training Services NSW aims to advise RTOs of the outcome and awarding of contracts in April 2023.
