VET Workforce Support Instrument 2024
VET Workforce Support Instrument 2024 - addresses current pressures on the VET workforce.
The Standards for Registered Training Organisations Amendment (VET Workforce Support) Instrument 2024 commenced on 1 March 2024.
This Instrument, which amends Schedules 1 and 2 of the Standards for RTOs:
- reflects new and updated training products from the updated Training and Education (TAE) Training Package
- enables people who hold an education degree to be engaged as trainers and/or assessors
- enables people actively working towards the Certificate IV or Diploma from the TAE Training Package to deliver training and contribute to assessment under supervision
- enables broader use of industry experts
- aligns with recent changes to the Fit and Proper Person Requirements
- makes minor clarifications and amendments.
RTOs can refer to ASQA’s updated Users' guide to the Standards for RTOs 2015 for more information about their obligations under the Standards.
