What Messages Will Help make VET Attractive to Young People?

What Messages Will Help make VET Attractive to Young People? image

This is your chance to contribute to some important VET research while also going in the draw to win an iPad mini or one of 20 $25 gift cards. Take this 10-minute anonymous survey and tell the researchers at Griffith University what you think matters for young people when considering future career and education options.

Last year a research team at Griffith University (Stephen Billett, Sarojni Choy, Steven Hodge, and Deniese Cox) received a Queensland Government Education Horizon scheme grant to investigate the status of VET.

The first phase of the research has gone extremely well. After speaking with 170 informants – teachers, students, parents – the team identified some interesting themes about what influences deliberations about career and education options for young people completing their schooling, which will be the focus of a survey.

The phase two survey for this project is now live. To more comprehensively explore these initial themes, the team need your support to ensure this survey gets maximum distribution and participation. Let’s ensure this important report about VET perceptions includes feedback from all parts of the community.

Please take 10 minutes to complete this anonymous survey.

The last screen of the survey includes entry into a prize draw to WIN an iPad mini or one of 20 $25 JB Hi-Fi gift cards. Feel free to share this link with your colleagues, family, and friends too so they can also participate.

Thank you for supporting this important research. The more participants this survey achieves, the stronger the data will be for the report. Stronger data means stronger recommendations for helping VET and its related occupations to be presented as an equal, quality option for post-school pathways.
