The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the cornerstone qualification of the Australian VET Sector. It is the entry level qualification needed by trainers and assessors to be qualified to deliver and make decisions regarding competence in nationally recognised training. It is, therefore, critical that the integrity of assessment within this qualification is maintained at the highest standard possible.

It is a requirement of the Standards for RTOs 2015 that RTOs offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), and many trainers and assessors already working in the industry hold older versions of training and assessment qualifications and wish to upgrade these through a quality RPL process.

A licence will be provided for these resources to the purchasing RTO (as an individual entity listed on training.gov.au). All resources are fully editable Word documents (.docx) and can be contextualised for and branded by the purchasing RTO.

When applying to add the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification to an RTO’s scope of registration, the RPL Assessor Kit can be used as evidence that RPL is offered in alignment with Clause 1.12 of the Standards for RTOs 2015.
