ASQA’s Annual Survey 2018

In the coming days ASQA-regulated registered training organisations (RTOs) and other training providers and accredited course owners will receive an invitation to participate in ASQA’s annual survey.

The survey is designed to gauge training providers’ views on the range of activities that ASQA undertakes and assess the authority’s performance against its statutory functions.

ASQA has engaged Australian Survey Research Pty Ltd (ASR) to conduct the survey. ASR will contact training providers and course owners by email and this email will contain each organisation’s unique link to the survey.

Participation in this survey is voluntary. However, feedback provided will help contribute to continuous improvement in ASQA's regulatory operations. Feedback provided in previous surveys led to improved application processing timeframes and changes in the way ASQA has handled enquiries to its Info Line and email enquiries service, as well as enhancements to the ASQA website and engagement with industry stakeholders.

Interested in applying to accredit a VET course? A new ASQA video explains the fundamentals of course accreditation

Accredited courses play an important role in Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Accredited courses provide nationally recognised training products that address the needs of new and emerging industries and sectors. These courses can rapidly respond to changes in skill needs.

If you are considering applying to ASQA to accredit a course, ASQA has developed a range of resources to support you:

  • the new Introduction to course accreditation with ASQA (animated video) explains the basics of what course accreditation is, and describes how course accreditation with ASQA works
  • the ASQA course owner and developer briefing 2018 (video) is a recording of a May 2018 webcast providing guidance for course owners and developers on complying with the Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2012 (the Standards) with the presentation slides from the webcast available as a PDF or for viewing via SlideShare
  • the Users’ guide to the Standards for VET Accredited Courses can help course owners and developers understand their obligations under the Standards.
