The revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations are now in place. They will come into full regulatory effect from 1 July 2025.
Please note some of this template may reflect the Standards for RTOs 2015 which still apply until 1 July.
Our templates will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Mapping is an ideal way to demonstrate how your RTO is delivering training and assessment that meets the requirements contained in the Standards for RTOs 2015. The Standards require that an RTO meet all requirements specified in the relevant training package or VET accredited course (Clause 1.4) and that it conducts effective assessment (Clauses 1.8-1.12). However, although best practice, mapping is not mandatory and no instructions are provided by the National VET Regulator. This template not only gives you an easy to use and reference framework for mapping assessments to a unit of competency, it contains explanatory sheets to guide users toward best practice activity.
