VET CEO Speaker Profile — Gerry Gannon

VET CEO Speaker Profile — Gerry Gannon image

With a reputation for being one of Australia’s leading conference facilitators and corporate MCs, Gerry Gannon is the perfect fit for the 2017 VET CEO Conference. Gerry has over 25 years’ experience in media, and spent almost 10 years as a reporter, producer and presenter with ABC Radio in Darwin, Perth and Sydney.

Gerry founded CBC Radio, a local radio station in Ireland, in 1981 and worked as the Managing Director. Since moving to Australia, he has worked as a journalist, broadcaster, Master of Ceremonies and media trainer, and has built his stellar reputation upon this work, providing media skills and training to government, not-for-profit organisations and media entities in Australia and overseas.

Gerry has openly pursued a career that brings him closer to his audience. Through this, he has established the first English language radio station in Indonesia, served both on the council and as President of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and has been a board member of the Tourism Council of Western Australia.

With a commitment to community and non-profit organisations, Gerry has also been a board member of Access 31 Television and Kids Help Line, and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Gerry has a passion for people and is renowned for his wit, passion, easy-going nature and commitment to those he works with. Gerry provides a refreshing opportunity for growth and knowledge – helping people to reach their potential through training and support and providing valuable perspective and advice.

We look forward to experiencing Gerry's engaging facilitation as Master of Ceremonies at the 2017 VET CEO Conference.
